Why Shae Strength Training?

Just like many of you, the trainers at Shae Strength realized that they wanted to make some aspects of their life better. They wanted to do one or more activities in their life, easier, faster, longer, or with less pain. They too, felt going to a new gym, hiring a trainer/coach, starting a new adventure, was a bit intimidating. Having made the decision to go forward and not let the fear hold them back, they have gained strength, confidence, discipline, self-esteem, improved fitness, met new friends, and learned new life skills. All leading to a better quality of life.

We now want to give back to others. We have enjoyed our journey and want to share that with others. What we have learned is that behind that intimidation is a great opportunity to improve a person's quality of life. Exercise can be enjoyable if done right. Yes, it takes discipline at times, but with the right approach it doesn't have to be difficult. The benefits far outweigh the negatives.

Our plans are based on skills and techniques we have learned in our pursuits of success on the powerlifting platform and strongman competitions. However, the daily life benefits gained in the process are what have been most valuable. It has been proven that skills learned in the basic exercises such as squat, bench, and deadlift can improve daily life skills such as being able to walk up stairs, do laundry, or even get up from a chair with greater ease and less pain. Much of the pain people feel today is due to muscular imbalances, reduced strength, and poor body mechanics. Our focus is to use proper techniques while exercising to build well rounded strength and body mechanics which will improve client performance while reducing pain.
